Very soon, Mtra. Dara Araceli Valencia Hernández will teach the workshop 'How to protect my graphic work?' during the II International Art Festival RÍOS DE COLOR.

Learn how to protect and store your graphic work with professional conservation and storage techniques.

The workshop will be in-person and demonstrative, showing appropriate materials and tools, as well as possible substitutes to design and implement storage systems for graphic documents.

Interaction and feedback will be promoted through discussions and debates.

Dara Araceli Valencia Hernández

Dara Araceli Valencia Hernández holds a degree in Restoration of Cultural Property from ENCRyM-INAH and a Master's in Project Management from Universidad Tecnológica de México.

She has attended international courses on paper conservation and diplomas in bibliographic heritage and document management.

She has extensive professional experience as a conservator-restorer of documentary heritage in public and private institutions, focusing on specialized technical training.

Since 2019, she has been a member of the Documentary Preservation Seminar at IISUE-UNAM and the Subcommittee for Documentary Preservation Standardization.

She is currently an academic technician at the Instituto de Investigaciones Dr. José María Luis Mora, where she coordinates the Restoration and Bookbinding Workshop of the Ernesto de la Torre y Villar Library.

She teaches at UNAM and Instituto Mora on conservation and document management topics.
